What? Am I a girl? Oh my God, I don't know! Wait, let me check.

Wow, I AM a girl! Thank you for reminding me!

The talk about Pink "saying" things and a girl talking on a phone attached to a barrel are hilarious too. It's an ad for crazy people.

Why does your bathing barrel come with a telephone loofah?

It must be a bitch getting in and out of that bathing barrel.

She better not be using the phone during a thunderstorm!

Yeah, I am, but I don't like pink and this sort of thing is why. I would have bought any shampoo but that one.

And why is she shampooing everything but her hair?

Oh, your icon!!!

Did they make a blue shampoo for guys? Nah, Probably not macho enough. It would have to be black or navy. And besides, grease was in.

I want to know what a sissy breakfast was. Muesli didn't come along till later, so what, bacon and eggs or pancakes, neither of them sissy? Or were some cereals worryingly sissily coloured?

IS the phone screwed to the side of the barrel? How do you hang up the receiver?

"What was that? I’m sorry, I’m on my barrel phone and it’s kind of awkward to talk on. It’s really more of a novelty than a functional appliance."

Honestly? I probably would've bought that shampoo if I had been alive in the 60s. I love girly stuff like that.

Have you ever tried Yes To Tomatoes shampoo? It's pink, smells great (well, I think so anyway!) and it doesn't have SLS, or petroleum (who knew shampoos had petroleum?!?!) or various other ingredients some believe to be associated with hair damage or even hair loss. Frankly, I think the Yes to Cucumbers works better, but sadly, it's green and doesn't smell as nice as Yes to Tomatoes.

I've seen the Yes to Carrots shampoo but not the Tomatoes or Cucumbers versions. I'm gonna have to look for them the next time I go shopping, because I'm always on the hunt for good SLS free shampoos. I'm totally on an anti-SLS kick right now. Thanks for the recommendations! =)

I know it's available online from walgreens and maybe amazon too. Hopefully it's in your stores as who wants to pay freight-but I'm glad google shopping is available for those items that aren't available locally. (I live in the middle of nowhere, and if I couldn't buy online, I'd be SOL on so much!)

Pink, shmink. Black and white is a hundred degrees hotter than this when Jean Harlow takes her barrel bath in "Red Dust".
