Is that a Magic Lever in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me?

Reading the second ad, I was sure it said "Hopalong Casualty"! It would probably be a more accurate description.
Thousands of men despair on learning that light-up bowties do not, in fact, wow the women.
I was hoping you'd found the glow-in-the-dark tie that said, "Kiss Me In The Dark, Baby." I've been looking for that for years.
My sister had a pair of similar shoes when we were little. I seem to recall them being somewhat more sturdy looking, though. I believe they had some hinge type things at the ends in addition to the springs. Probably for stability.

That bow tie would sure be a "laugh riot"...women laughing at him, not with him. I certainly wouldn't be wowed.
Space Shoes
I actually had a pair of Space Shoes, but mine also had the hinged guides at the sides to keep them from bouncing you sideways. They were made entirely out of steel, and they were so heavy that any increase in height I might have gotten from the springs was killed by the extra weight. The Moon Shoes look like they'd be much lighter and a lot more fun.
